Update and writing compilation

Hello! It's been a while sense I posted, I've had some health issues to deal with (and still dealing with) but I am doing better! I did some writing earlier this year so this will be a collection of those recent works. This first one is a rewriting of my poem "Oracle of Me" to be positive and self affirming. I'm still proud of that one but I almost like this version better. Oracle of Me: Reverence. 1/19/2022 Only I know my mind, a place of reverence. Only I dictate its steps, its journey through the Cosmos. My temple is sacred, this form of flesh and blood. Tempered through fire and words. The God is me, Holy Scripture falling from my own lips of the future. My word is sacred, leading me with grace and Motherly Love. I must become my own kindness, rebirth in a womb of my own making. I must trust the words of honey, laced with good nature. Its blinding faith trusting oneself, but the chalice will be filled with what is required, You have all that you need, the Alta...

Poem: My Bird.

My Bird, written 7/8/2021. A poem inspired by my therapist. We have a strong connection so I really felt called to write this. Also she has a thing about birds, I can't think about birds without thinking about her. On flapping wings she flies to my rescue. Zipping and darting about, she zeroes in on the important details one might miss otherwise. A hand reaches out " Follow me, let's journey together " a voice says. So hand in hand we walk, I lead she follows close behind with a flutter and a voice of reason. I may be the Leader but she is my steadfast General, the kind one can turn to in the heat of battle when it all becomes too much. She saves me a seat and we sit in rest together.

A couple of short poems

Estella, written 7/2/2021. A poem inspired by my friend Estella, what I think of when I think of her and our long distance relationship. Oceans wide and oceans deep, she dives in with fury. Hand her the world and she smiles, take her world and feel her wrath. Time and space will not separate, the further the distance the closer she appears. Rare as pearls yet familiar as an old friend. Nature's Cycle, written 7/6/2021. Life moves ever on, churning waves and the decaying bones of trees. The water is sacred and the leaves change color without interference. Magic is all around you and shows itself in the patterns of flowers and the hum of fungi. She lies deep in the rustle of ferns and the shape of an acorn. Stop, listen, feel, smell. She’s with you always in the babble of a creek and the buzz of bees. You can find Her if you look. She’ll find you if you let Her.

Poem: Estella

Estella, written 7/2/2021. Written for a friend's birthday inspired by her. Oceans wide and oceans deep, she dives in with fury. Hand her the world and she smiles, take her world and feel her wrath. Time and space will not separate, the further the distance the closer she appears. Rare as pearls yet familiar as a old friend.

Poem: Two short works.

These are both short enough to be in one post. Untitled, written 6/25/2021 Like gold in my veins, breath stunted by the glide of your magic. Filled with light and dark mingled as one in the wee hours of the night. Ageless in movement yet gone in a flash of white hot brilliance  She Walks Among Us, written 6/29/2021 Magic unlike any other, the Divine walks among us in the form of flesh and strength. I am torn asunder, rendered holy by Her hand which gives me Grace. One could not manifest in their mind the overwhelming beauty, softness and chaotic memories that Her heart holds. Whether by birth or divine alchemy, She walks this Earth with eyes of fire and hands holding knives wreathed with roses
