Across the Table, chapter 2

As of this post this is all I've written for this, if I continue it I shall post it. This chapter wasn't part of the original dream/inspiration, I came up with it afterwards, but I almost like this part best. Enjoy! 5 years later. As expected Kaz and I fit right in. We both excelled at learning but in different ways and areas. Soon enough we had found our group of friends and the subjects we liked the best. Kaz did exactly as he stated on our first day there, he excelled at cartography, diagram making, even astrology and star charting. He was calculating and detailed oriented, so the tasks suited him perfectly. He soon surpassed his fellow students and they often came to him for help with homework or a particular subject that was hard for him. He gladly helped, happy to flex his knowledge and help someone new. I never fully got the hang of understanding what he did, but I was fascinated nonetheless and even I could tell his work was good. His diagrams were incredible, so detail

For those that don't know I play DND and other TTRPG. I'm in a Monster of the Week game and I play a Eldritch Being from the ocean (akin to a leviathan or kraken) named Tehom. He is almost as old as the earth itself, he first came onto the surface around what would be considered the Biblical time period. He has a proper form, huge and all tentacles, but on the surface he takes on a human form (which has two version, one is fully human and the other is a human body but with a squid-like face as you can see in the art below). He's a Spellslinger by the rules of the game. The game is set in modern time and he works as part of a organization called "The Catalogue" which deals with anomalies, non-human people (like Tehom) and cryptic's to determine if they are a threat (like a cryptic FBI). He works with two coworkers, a werewolf and a human possessed by a computer spirit. I love my squid boy, he's basically a Eldritch Being who doesn't understand technolog

Across the Table, chapter 1

I wrote this short story which turned into almost 3,000 words ( 29376 words to be exact). The idea for this story came from a dream I had which was so vivid I couldn't stop thinking about it so I had to write a story for it. Spite fuels many things, writing included lol One day I might turn this into a full story, its open enough to expand the story. Plus I think I've come up with a cool concept for a magical school (suck it terf who shall not be named!). The premise of the dream was being at a event with a longtime friend, who I also had a crush on, and we had a intense staring contest while sitting across each other. He looked like a cross between Kaz Brekker (Shadow and Bone tv show) and Viktor (Arcane tv show). Yes I went lazy with the name and just called him Kaz, it fit well enough I couldn't think of anything better. Enjoy chapter 1! Next (and final for now) chapter in another post! As I walked through the double doors my eyes widened in surprise and delight. The roo
